Life Story
Alice Lorraine Moore Temple was born on July 25, 1965, in Newton County, Mississippi, to Sadie Frank Wilson Brown, whose nurturing spirit and steadfast values shaped her daughter’s early life. Alice attended the Newton Public School System, where she developed a lifelong appreciation for learning and community involvement.
As an adult, Alice married and built a loving home rooted in faith, family, and service. She became a dedicated member of the Mississippi Homemaker Volunteer (MHV) Club, where her leadership and compassion left a lasting mark. Through her volunteer work, Alice devoted countless hours to uplifting others—organizing community programs, supporting local families, and fostering the spirit of cooperation that defined the Homemaker tradition.
Her gentle strength and unwavering kindness inspired everyone who knew her. Though her life ended too soon on January 15, 2005, at the age of 39, her legacy of service and resilience continues to live on. She was laid to rest at Altare Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery, surrounded by the community she loved and served so faithfully.
