Birth & Parentage

George Allen Wesley was born on December 4, 1939, in Newton County, Mississippi. He was the son of Van Wesley (1904–1964) and Alma Cleo Walker Wesley (1907–1969), members of a long-established Saint John family with deep roots in the Bethel–Newton community.


Marriage

George Allen Wesley married Annie Ruth Tillman. Their union reflects the interconnection of families within the Saint John and surrounding Newton County communities.


Church Affiliation

George was affiliated with Saint John Missionary Baptist Church, where multiple generations of the Wesley family worshiped and where he would later be laid to rest.


Death & Burial

George Allen Wesley passed away on November 11, 1992.
He was laid to rest in the Saint John M.B. Church Graveyard, joining his parents and siblings in the family’s ancestral burial ground.
