Life Story
Odie Gooden Anthony was born in January 1899 in Newton County, Mississippi, to Alex Goodwin (1858-?) and Emma Walker (1861-?). She married John Anthony, who served as the informant on her death certificate. At the age of 27, Odie succumbed to consumption and was laid to rest at Shady Grove.
