Life Story
Bettie Evans, a widow, was born circa 1830 in Jasper County, Mississippi. Details regarding her husband or parents remain unknown. She gave birth to eight children, with seven surviving as of 1910. Her occupation was farming. In her later years, some of her grandchildren resided with her to provide care and assist with daily activities. She passed away on May 7, 1920, in the Wickware community of Newton County, MS. Miles Evans served as the informant on her death certificate. Her burial site is currently unknown.
