Eric Cortez Lucas was born on May 17, 1989, a bright and talented young man whose life was marked by creativity, compassion, and a deep love for music. Though his time on earth was brief, his presence left a lasting impression on all who knew him.

He was laid to rest at the Altare Missionary Baptist Church Graveyard in Newton County, Mississippi — a place rich with family heritage and history. His headstone bears the Thomas Carl Almore Lodge symbol, a sign of brotherhood and fraternity, alongside musical notes that beautifully capture the essence of his life’s passion.
Though his journey was short, Eric Cortez Lucas’s melody continues to echo in the hearts of those who loved him — a song of joy, faith, and remembrance that will never fade.
