Life Story

Birth & Family

Frank Moore was born on April 8, 1937, in Newton County, Mississippi, to Smith “Jig” Moore (1901–1989) and Eva Haney Moore (1909–1985). He was raised in a community where faith, family, and service shaped the course of his life.

Marriage & Children

Frank first married Mary Mapp (1939–?). From this union, five children were born:

  • Mary Moore
  • Frankie Moore
  • Veronica Moore
  • Ronnie Moore
  • Stephanie Moore

The couple later filed for divorce on September 23, 1981, in Bexar County, Texas.

He later married Ella Breneita Goliday. From this union, one child was born:

  • Franklin Jerrell Moore

Military Service

Frank Moore dedicated nearly two decades of his life to military service in the United States Army. According to military-related records and family documentation, he first entered active service on April 30, 1955, serving until March 30, 1959. He later reenlisted on September 10, 1962, continuing his military career through April 17, 1968, and remained in active service from April 17, 1968, until his release on April 26, 1974.

Some veteran databases list only the service period from April 17, 1968, to April 26, 1974, because certain DD214 discharge forms document only the final continuous period of active duty rather than an individual’s complete military history. As a result, earlier periods of service are not always reflected in abbreviated veteran indexes.

In total, Frank Moore accumulated approximately 15 years and 6 months of active military service, along with 3 years and 5 months of inactive service, totaling nearly 19 years connected to the United States Army. His military record also included nearly 3 years of foreign and/or sea service during a significant period in American military history.

Frank’s long-standing commitment to military duty reflected discipline, perseverance, and dedication to service throughout multiple phases of his adult life.

Ministry & Service

In addition to his military service, Frank Moore was a minister. His calling to ministry reflected a life shaped by faith, spiritual leadership, and dedication to serving others.
